GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) Cabelas is holding its annual great outdoor days hunting event Saturday and Sunday. More than 28 vendors are at the store. Different activities include lessons from calling experts, fly fishing casting, and water purification classes. They're also holding a dutch oven cook out and are giving out free hotdogs. The store's general manager is already impressed with the turnout they've seen.

"We opened our doors to about 150 people this morning bright and early, and then I know we've cooked over 500 hotdogs this afternoon. We've probably seen realistically 6 to 7 thousand people through the doors this morning so far," says Cabela's General Manager Jesse Eckley.

This event is free to the public. If you couldn't make it out Saturday, great outdoor days is also going on Sunday at the store from 10 am until 6 pm. Those who attend will be entered to win an $11,000 prize package.
