Car Show takes on new meaning for one owner

GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. On Saturday The Western Colorado Car Show kicked off to benefit the Hilltop organization; more than 300 cars are featured in the show over the weekend.

And while there are many different types of cars that can be seen at the show the meaning behind Debbie Younger’s latest car purchase took on a new meaning.

"I had numerous family members that had been diagnosed with all different types of cancer probably within the last five years," said Younger.

Younger and her husband bought the pink corvette last year after they found out all of the proceeds were being donated to breast cancer awareness.

The Western Colorado Car Show will continue on Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm at Canyon View Park, and tickets are $5.
