GRAND JUNCTION, CO. On Saturday A Taste of Heaven Catering Company hosted the 2014 Father’s Day car show to benefit HopeWest Hospice Centers.
The car show featured cars from all around the grand valley, and several from out of town, the show was free to attend and for a donation community members could enjoy a barbeque lunch and free concerts by local artists.
All of the artist, and cars, were done by volunteers to help bring awareness to the Grand Valley about the different services HopeWest offers to families dealing with critically ill family members.
Trophies were given out to the favorite car, the car that came the furthest, and the most unique.
Yvonne Day from the car show said she holds HopeWest close to her heart after having several family need their care services.
“People have to go through that situation when there's a serious illness and they don't know where to turn to or who to ask to get help,” said Day.
The catering company also hosted a benefit concert Saturday night to help raise even more money for th hospice centers.
The event featured several local musical groups, as well as cocktails, and appetizers.
