DENVER, Colo. (AP) Colorado flu numbers are slightly higher than this time last year.
The state health department says 52 cases had been reported across Colorado from Oct. 5 to Nov. 30, slightly higher than the same time last year.
Almost half of the reported cases this year have been in Denver and Arapahoe County.
The Denver Post reports that this year's vaccinations in the flu shot are a good match to the strains of flu across the country.
One Coloradan has died from influenza this season. Weld County health authorities reported last week that a male in his 20s died after contracting influenza. He had no other symptoms or health issues.
87% of the cases reported this year in Colorado were the 2009 H1N1, or swine flu.
