Crews battling two wildfires in southwestern Colo.

MANCOS, Colo. (KKCO) – The reality of wildfire is still among us in Colorado.

Between 30 and 40 homes have been evacuated in the southwestern part of the state because of a fast moving fire.

The U.S. Forest service is calling for the evacuations six miles southeast of Mancos.

Meanwhile, crews are trying to keep another fire in southwest Colorado from spreading toward houses at Vallecito Reservoir.

High winds pushed a fire back toward the reservoir in the afternoon, and the blaze is threatening homes in the Lakeview Estates Subdivision.

Fire managers say air and ground crews have not been able to attack the fire directly.
