Crews preventing High Park Fire erosion

NEAR FORT COLLINS, Colo (KKCO) The choppers will be dropping a mixture of seed and straw mulch. This is to help prevent erosion at a key water source where the high park fire burned. The Natural Resources Conservation Service officials hope this will trigger plant growth and prevent debris from falling into the Horsetooth Reservoir near Fort Collins. That's according to the Denver Post. That reservoir provides drinking water to more than 300,000 people. The project is predicted to cost over $91,000. It's being sponsored by the cities of Greeley and Fort Collins as well as other districts.
