TAMPA, Fl (KKCO)- More than 4,000 delegates and alternates from all 50 states, Washington D.C. and five territories will attend the RNC.

Greeters were on hand at Tampa's airport to welcome them and help them with baggage claim and transportation arrangements.

Organizers pushed back the start of the convention from Monday to Tuesday, as Tropical Storm Isaac headed toward the gulf coast.

Tampa is not expected to get the brunt of the storm, but could get heavy wind and rain.
