Deputies arrest two with $23,000 worth of cocaine

MESA COUNTY, Colo. Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office arrested two people transporting approximately 230 grams of cocaine on Sunday.

At around 7:00 p.m. the deputies stopped a vehicle just off the clifton exit ramp of I-70. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Aurielle Duncan of Grand Junction and riding with her was 22-year-old Devin James of Fruita.

Ultimately, a dog trained in the detection of multiple types of drugs was used to search the vehicle. The deputies then found the cocaine in a brown bag, street-valued at $23,000.

Duncan was charged with two traffic infraction and both suspects were charged with intent to distribute the cocaine.
