PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) -- A former Pueblo County deputy sheriff is scheduled to be sentenced Friday after he pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.
Raymond Gonzales was accused of leaving a computer drive containing almost 7,000 pornographic images of children connected to a work computer.
Authorities say an investigation was launched after a sergeant working in the jail found a computer storage drive allegedly belonging to Gonzales that contained child pornography.
According to KKTV-TV, Gonzales said he inadvertently copied the pictures when he transferred pictures from a vacation.
