DENVER (KKCO) -- The FBI is asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of robbing a bank.

The suspect stole money from the First Bank on 2660 Federal Boulevard in Denver on April 11 around 6:22 p.m.

According to an FBI release, he entered the bank, presented a demand note for money and fled the scene.

He is described as a white male, between 45 and 55 years old. He has a slender build with gray hair and blue eyes and stands about 5'9" to 5'10" tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Bank robbery carries a sentence of 20 years in prison for each offense, but that time increases if the suspect uses a dangerous weapon.

If you have any information about the bank robbery, call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171. You can also remain anonymous and earn up to $2000 by calling Crimestoppers at 720-923-STOP (7867).

The FBI is working with the Denver Police Department to apprehend the suspect.
