GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KKCO) - Despite our recent rains, a fire broke out in Garfield County around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Garfield County Sheriff's Office officials say it started south of Glenwood Springs, just off County Road 115. The blaze is being called the Red Canyon Fire, and has already spread to 150 acres.

An air tanker has been called in to help crews on the ground, who have the fire zero percent contained.

At this point, County Road 115 is closed from Highway 82 to County Road 119.

Residents in the area are being warned that an evacuation may be necessary, but no evacuations have been ordered at this time.

There have been no structures lost and no injuries reported.
