AURORA, Colo. (AP) A former University of Colorado Hospital doctor has acknowledged groping a patient who was lying unable to see in a hospital bed following eye surgery.

The Aurora Sentinel reports Matthew Uhlenkott pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact with an at-risk victim. He faces up to 18 months in prison when he is sentenced April 23.

Uhlenkott was arrested in the fall of 2012 after the patient told investigators the doctor groped his penis. He has since resigned, and his medical license has been stripped.

The victim has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the hospital, the University of Colorado and Uhlenkott.
