DENVER (AP) -- A former girls' basketball referee accused of inappropriately touching players during games has been sentenced to jail and is required to register as a sex offender.

The Denver Post reports 53-year-old Stephen Amador was sentenced Friday to 60 days in jail in the Jefferson County Work Release Program followed by four years of probation. He was convicted of nine counts of unlawful sexual contact after victims testified he purposely touched their chests and buttocks during games in December 2012 and January 2013.
