ASPEN, Colo (KKCO) Police in Aspen are reporting a huge increase in the number of bear calls logged last month compared to last year. Police recorded 292 calls about bears for August, some for the same bear this year. That's compared to 38 bear calls last August. That's according to the the Aspen Times. Experts say the drought is causing bears to come into towns looking for food. So far, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has had to euthanize 28 bears this year.
