ASPEN, Colo. (AP) -- Independence Pass is scheduled to close for the season Friday afternoon.
The Colorado Avalanche Information Center says a big storm is expected to arrive in western Colorado late Friday, bringing snow to the mountains. The National Weather Service says up to 16 inches of snow is expected by Sunday.
