GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Colorado State Patrol says an Aurora man died in Garfield County after his car went off a cliff.

Officials say the 42-year-old man drove off a steep cliff on Coffee Pot Road Monday night. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The crash site was discovered around 10:30 p.m. Monday, but it's unclear when it happened.

Troopers say the man was the only person in the pickup. He was ejected in the crash and died on scene.

The pickup fell nearly 120 feet off the dirt road. It was recovered Tuesday morning.

Troopers are still investigating what happened.
