Man ditches dog on mountain, now wants her back

GEORGETOWN, Colo (KKCO) A happy ending to the story of Missy, the German shepherd who was abandoned by her owner high atop a Colorado mountain for eight days. After an all out rescue effort by hikers to retrieve the injured and hungry dog from one of Colorado's tallest peaks, her owner wanted her back. However, Anthony Ortolani will now face charges of animal cruelty. Ortolani contends he had to leave Missy on the mountain when a storm moved in and she was unable to walk because of injured paws. Missy was discovered close to death and alone by a couple of hikers from Denver. After posting a picture online, another group of hikers mobilized to help retrieve the 100 pound dog, not an easy feat.

He led .5mi losing 1000ft in elevation and never noticed his companion dogs difficulty or insuries until she could move no more??? 'Self-Absorbed Narssist' --- 'Sociopath' --- 'Lowest Form of Human Life Possible. Question: Where on the scale does Defendant Ortolani lie?????

I keep reading about incliment weather and snow storms yet I do not see any traces of snow ?So why didn't he go back ? GS's are the most loyal dogs ever. She would not have left him but would have died at his side if he were injured and could not help himself. There is a special place in hell for people like her owner and a more special place in heaven for thos who her ruscued her.

Fly Anthony Ortolani in a helicopter to the highest peak in Colorado, cut his feet to a point he can’t walk, give him absolutely nothing for survival, and if he makes it to the bottom, let him kiss his dog good-bye. Or better yet, sentence him to 8 days with me.

He was cruel to Missy twice: once for taking her up there in the first place -look what it did to her paws and legs - and then abandoning her - not even trying to get help. The Washington's should get her. Missy deserves the good home they will give her.
