MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) The Mesa County Commissioners are looking for interested individuals to serve on boards for the Fair, Animal Services, and the Planning Commission.

Mesa County Fair: One position available
This Board plans, manages, and conducts various programs to produce the Mesa County Fair during the third week of July. Business background, with experience in management or event promotion is helpful. The Fair Board meets monthly, and more frequently in preparation for the Fair. The board is comprised of seven members Terms are for three years.
Board of Animal Services: One position available
This Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Mesa County Board of Commissioners on matters of animal control and welfare. The County Commissioners recently added a non-voting citizen representative position to this Advisory board. The Board is now comprised of six members. Terms are for two years.
Planning Commission: Two positions available
The Mesa County Planning Commission adopts the Master Plan for future Development of unincorporated Mesa County, reviews general land use matters and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners based upon the Mesa County Land Development Code and Master Plan. Knowledge of zoning and general land use matters is recommended. For more information on this commission, visit the link below. The commission is comprised of seven members and three alternates. Two alternate positions are available. Terms are for three years.
