A motorcycle ride over the Grand Mesa raises money for a good cause.
The 5th annual Mesa Poker Run will be Saturday, Sept. 8, and ticket sales from the event benefit the Patriot Guard Riders and Operation Interdependence.
Operations Interdependence sends care packages to our troops serving overseas. Up to 80 prizes will be raffled at the run.
Organizers are expecting up to 150 riders. Registration is Saturday, Sept. 8, 9 a.m. at Randy's in Clifton. The last bike out will be at 10 a.m.
Riders will finish the race at the VFW in Grand Junction, with food provided at the 3 p.m. drawing. The cost is $10 per rider.
Everyone is welcome to go on the ride. Organizers tell us if you don't have a motorcycle, you can go in your car.
