GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Formal charges were filed Tuesday against the man who police say shot a friend after a 'standoff' with several other people at a party.

20-year-old Aaron Munoz faces assault, prohibited use of a firearm, and other charges.

Munoz turned himself into police after the incident on Orchard Mesa earlier this month.

The person shot was not seriously injured. Munoz will be back in court later this month.
