Murder-suicide investigated in Larimer County

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide that involved a man and his fiance in Larimer County.

Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 12000 block of County Road 9 at about 6 p.m. Friday and found the man and woman dead.

Deputy Coroner James MacNaughton tells The Coloradoan that 38-year-old Maria Olivas died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death has been ruled a homicide. Her fiance, 34-year-old Hallie James Pringle, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
