GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) "Operation Interdependence", a local military charity, is holding their parking lot extravaganza this Saturday, August 11th, starting at 9am. The event will include oversized products such as candy, chocolate, cookies, bottled water, pouch drinks, office and school supplies, even golf clubs! All items are up for donations to help raise postage funds so "Operation Interdependence" can continue to ship items to our troops overseas. Karon Carley, National President/State Manager with the organization, says efforts to comfort our troops never stop.
"There's up to a quarter of a million troops stationed somewhere in the world at all times, and we will continue to support as many of them as we can no matter where they are," says Carley.
The warehouse is located at 29 1/2 road and North Avenue in Grand Junction, the driveway just west of the U-Haul trailer rental. Organizers say just look for the signs.
