Opening ceremony most watched ever

LONDON, ENGLAND (KKCO) NBC's coverage of Friday night's opening ceremony was the most watched for a summer games with 40.7 million average viewers. That's nearly six million more than the impressive 2008 Beijing Olympics. And it topped the Atlanta games that had 39.8 million average viewers.     Just because people watched, doesn't mean that it was good. The Olympics is a once in a while sort of event. People will put up with a lot of drivel, once in a while. (Sometimes they'll put up with a lot of drivel consistently, like NBC "News", but that's because they can't find an reasonable alternatives.)
