GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - You've heard of the Heat is On Campaign from Colorado State Patrol, now Colorado Parks & Wildlife officials are launching a campaign of their own called Operation Dry Water.
Wildlife officers will be out in force looking for boaters with a blood alcohol limit of .08 or higher this weekend. Officials say it's part of a nationally-coordinated effort to reduce the number of boating accidents and fatalities.
Under Colorado state law, drunk boaters can face fines, jail time and loss of boating privileges.
