Overnight burglary in Palisade

Early Friday morning, Palisade police were called to the 3700 block of G road for an assault in progress.

According to a news release from Palisade Police the home was entered, the subjects assaulted the male resident and they threatened his girlfriend. Then, according to the release one of the suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle. Police found the motorcycle near 29 1/2 and Orchard - but the driver was no where to be found.

The man in the home who was injured is only being identified as a 51 year old male resident. Police are only releasing that he sustained 'multiple' injuries and was stable. They wouldn't release the type or nature of injuries.

The 21st Judicial District Critical Incident Team was asked to respond to the scene to help process it.

The case is still under investigation by the Palisade Police Department.
