DENVER (AP) -- Jim Lehrer of PBS will moderate the first presidential debate, which will be held at the University of Denver on Oct. 3.

The Commission on Presidential Debates on Monday announced the lineup for the debates between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

The debate at the Magness Arena will focus on domestic topics.

Pointing out that the first debate will take place less than 10 miles from the sites of both the Aurora, Colo., shootings last month and the 1999 Columbine attacks, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence urged Lehrer to ask Romney and Obama during the debate for their plans to prevent gun deaths.

I would like to see you ask Both Candidates this question: When, how many years, until you see the Debt clock slowing to a stop.
