Robinson makes major campaign announcements

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) Robinson, a candidate for Colorado House District 55, held a press conference Tuesday on Main Street. He was joined by retired Republican businessman Levi Lucero. Robinson proposed Colorado Mesa University seminars for baby boomers. He says the proposal would generate revenue and marketing opportunities. Robinson also argued the Senior Homestead Exemption should follow seniors if they move to a smaller house. Currently the exemption expires if a senior downsizes.

"We've gotta look at good ideas that benefit all of us, and stop this nonsense of gridlock of who comes up with the idea. I don't care, if it's a good idea, let's embrace it and move it with it, and benefit everybody, and get over this partisanship," says Robinson.

Robinson also discussed reducing the number of days the legislature is in session, and small business micro loans of $10,000.

    The only major campaign announcement I want to hear from Dan Robinson is that he is droping out of the race. Anything else he says is a lie.

      there are a lot of us Democrats that are pulling for Scott. Dan is not up for the job and in fact, he is in desparate need of one. Just not this one. Use your time finding a private sector job Dan.

    Dan Robinson will support higher taxes, more fees, and increased goverment control and spending every step of the way. He is the last person a fiscally conservative voter should support. No matter what lip service he offers, he is nothing more than a liberal Democrat that wants to steal your money and control your life.

    The homestead credit is a non-issue. There will be no need for homesteads when the Obummercare death panels are enacted. Which party was it that passed that travesty on Christmas Eve 2009 like cowards rather than debate it honestly and ethically?

    There are a lot of us republicans pulling for Robinson. He's better qualified and his ideas to improve Grand Junction's economy are the best I've heard in a long time. He's got my vote.

      Perfect sense, is what you make. Let"s give the house, the senate and the governorship to the Dems here in this state. (eyeroll) As a fiscally conservative Republican I think you are pulling our leg when you say this is what you want for us. and are a Republican. I think Scott is doing a good job nd I'm voting for him again.

        No eye-rolling or leg-pulling. Just a little research into the two candidates. All Scott has done is vote himself a raise. Fiscal conservative? No. As a manager in a tough economy cutting payroll right now, the last thing I want to see is Scott lining his pockets. Perfect sense is what I make Gidget.

    I would like to see Mr. Robinson tell the public what Mr.Scott has accomplished or not accomplished. I would like to know how he can better preserve our resources and water. I would like to see an idea for LOCAL community support and growth and not parrot-rhetoric from Washington DC. Mike I would like to see you understand your attitude and get involved helping this community instead of spouting off. You sound like a jealous and frustrated person who has not learned that you are as responsible for the political tension as the rest of us. We have to give ourselves a break. What is happening in the Republican party with Jared Wright locally and Todd Akin nationally are symptoms of the imbalance. As a Republican I can see that imbalance in the candidate listings for 2012 in this county. Changing parties or politicians in Washington DC will change practically nothing locally. We have a different culture here. We are Coloradans first out of necessity to preserve our water and land. Coloradans should WANT to work together.

    Thanks for reminding voters that the only time a demorat doesn't care about party politics is when they run for election. If they're elected the run lock step with the demorat party. For more information on what Dan supports, please go to the democrate national committee or just look at the fool in the White House. We tried for 3 1/2 years with these people. Enough of you already.

      Correction. Dan Robinson is all about higher taxes and fees. More goverment control of you life. He is not on the side of the working class of this valley.

      The law was written to assist seniors to stay in their homes. Not to enable them to take advantage of ups and downs in the housing market.
