FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Fort Collins police say alcohol may have been a factor in a collision between an SUV and an officer's patrol car.

Police say the SUV was heading west Monday morning on Prospect Road when it swerved into eastbound lanes and collided with an eastbound patrol car.

The Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/RU8hn7) the officer was released from a hospital with minor injuries, and the 62-year-old man driving the SUV was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Police say the SUV driver didn't have any apparent injuries.
