Families of the Aurora theater shooting victims are now taking relief in to their own hands.
Family members of some of the victims are now asking for guidelines to make sure the money collected by a relief fund is properly distributed.
They released the plan Tuesday, just days after families met with the 7/20 recovery fund committee.
Some families came down on the fund, saying they collected more than $5 million using the victims’ names and images, but the families received no more than $5 thousand each to deal with medical bills and related expenses.
The families will meet with campaign overseers Wednesday to discuss how their 16-point plan could be put in to action.
