CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) Authorities say a small plane crashed when it hit a power line in a residential neighborhood in Castle Rock, injuring the pilot.
Castle Rock officials said in a release posted on the town's website that the female pilot was the only passenger in the single-engine plane that crashed at about 7 p.m. Monday. Officials say the pilot confirmed she was the only one onboard before she was taken to a hospital with serious injurious. Her name was not released.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman did not immediately respond to an email, and a Douglas County Sheriff public information officer did not immediately return a call.
