GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) It was part of the Colorado Republican's second monthly "Super Saturday" event. At the Mesa County Victory Center, Senator Steve King joined volunteers as they made phone calls to residents and walked through neighborhoods giving out campaign materials and answering questions. Organizers say the enthusiasm is high, and they're calling now an important time to get their message out.
"As the economy worsens, the enthusiasm continues builds. If we ever needed a change we need it now, 42 months of over 8 percent unemployment, we need a change. Look around Mesa County, and see if we don't need a businessman to turn this around," says Phyllis
Hunsinger, Mesa County Republicans Secretary.
Senator Steve King attended Mesa County's Super Saturday. The next event for the Mesa County Republican Party will be a luncheon on August 17th at Two Rivers Convention Center. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non members.
