Theater gunman bought gear from Missouri company

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KKCO) The Cat 5 company sells knives, vests, holsters, pouches and other tactical accessories. A sales receipt shows Holmes purchased about $300 worth of gear in early July.
The company's chief operating officer says they process thousands of orders a day. He says military and law enforcement personnel are their main customers.

"We were all shocked and appalled that he would have used our gear for those purposes. It was a startling discovery, to say the least, especially given the recency," says Andrew Hoefener, Cat 5 Chief Operating Officer.

Someone bought legal merchandise from a reputable business. SO WHAT? How many kids overdose each year buying household materials from WalMart? This is only news if you are a total moron or a flaming socialist. Oops there is no difference.

    1) If they are, so will your M-4. 2) They jam. 3) They're heavy.

KKCO, this report isn't news, it's political activism. Cut out trying to manipulate the thoughts of your viewers and stick with the news. Please. I am ashamed to read this story.

What is the point of reporting this? It doesn't make a bit of difference. All those purchases were legal. Just what is the point?

The media will be feasting on this carcass of a story until even the bones are gone. Nobody cares where he bought this stuff.

Anything to keep from illuminating any of the real problems in the country. More shiny media objects to distract the weak minded in a vain attempt to aid Barry Soetoro's re-election campaign.

Just like they become when he was first elected. Obama is the best news for gun stores.

I'll bet he bought stuff from Walmart too. What an asinine abuse of journalism!!! It's really a shame that the level of talent at KKCO is so abysmally low.

Its NBC. What else would you expect? Just look at their national ratings!
