IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A sand truck overturned early Monday, knocking out power, cell and phone service along Interstate-70 west of Floyd Hill near Idaho Springs.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says cell service has been interrupted in the area and phone lines were down at the Clear Creek Sheriff's Office.
According to KMGH-TV, there are also intermittent closures in the eastbound lanes while the accident is being cleaned up.
CDOT says drivers should take the alternate route at Highway 6 Clear Creek Canyon and Highway 40 Frontage Road.
