GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office made two separate meth busts Thursday night.

Just before 11:00 p.m., deputies pulled over a car in the area of D 1/2 road and D 1/2 court.

The driver was 18-year-old Ezequiel Silva-Garcia of Delta, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Montrose County Sheriff's Office for controlled substance violations.

While searching the vehicle, deputies located a bag containing 18 grams of meth and a digital scale.

The street value of the drugs found is about $1,000.

The suspect was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility without incident on the outstanding warrant and on new charges, including possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an expired registration.

At 8:45 p.m., deputies pulled over a truck near 32 Road and Bunting Avenue.

They saw occupants of the vehicle throwing items out of it before the driver stopped the truck.

The driver and passenger, both Grand Junction residents, were arrested.

The bag thrown out of the truck was found containing 20 grams of meth, a street value of about $1,100.

37-year-old Aaron Irvine was the passenger, and 60-year-old Harold Wardle was the driver.

Irvine was previously arrested last month on a warrant issued by the Grand Junction Police Department, and Wardle was arrested in October when he turned himself in on outstanding charges.
