GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Grand Junction utility crews have responded to 2403 Riverside Parkway, for a report of a gas line break. At this point it’s not clear how significant the break is.
As a precaution the business at the address, Baker Hughes, has reportedly evacuated. Representatives with Baker Hughes did not want to comment on what had happened, we were referred to the company's Texas headquarters. So far our call has not been returned.
Nearby businesses, such as Bananas Fun park about ¾ of a mile down the road, have not been notified of any issues or interruption in service or need to evacuate.
From the vantage point of the KKCO 11 news crew on site, we cannot see fire trucks or other emergency crews. There are utility workers and other workers outside the building.
