Vestas makes cuts at Pueblo factory

PUEBLO, Colo (KKCO) Company officials say the weak market is a result of Congress not renewing the federal wind-production tax credit, which is set to expire in December. Vestas has four plants in Colorado employing 1,700 people. The cuts are equal to about 3% of the company's 3,000 employees in the United States and Canada. There are about 5,000 jobs in the wind energy sector in Colorado.

If a business has to rely on MY tax dollars to survive it is NOT viable and should suffer any consequence the FREE market offers. If wind and solar energy were a suitable replacement for fossil fuels, you could not keep private investors away with a gun.
