AURORA, Colo (KKCO) Several vigils and memorials took place Friday night. These people gathered near the theater where 12 were killed and 58 others were wounded. A makeshift memorial was set-up, and many held candles themselves. It was a peaceful scene, in stark contrast to Friday morning's deadly rampage.

There is an official memorial prayer vigil planned for Sunday night at 6:30pm at the Aurora Municipal Center at the westside steps. Another vigil is planned in Thornton, 8pm, at the Webster Lake on 120th and Grant.

Authorities expect many public official to be there, including those from the national and state delegations.
