Visitor's Center honors volunteers

GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. On Tuesday the Visitor and Convention Bureau celebrated several volunteers for the number of hours they have spent at the center.

Doris Blake spent more than 5,300 hours volunteering with the Visitors center, and said it’s getting to help so many people plan their activities while in Grand Junction that keeps her coming back.

“You get a chance to meet people and kind of share grand junction with people with a background in traveling,” said Blake.

Several other volunteers were also honored for their dedication to the VCB; Jean Yale, Fred Crabtree, Gae Crisman, Donna Haskins, Duane Phelps, Ed Miller, Bill Harlos, Peter Van Voorhees, Harriett Clothier.
