DOTSERO, Colo. (AP) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation is keeping both lanes of westbound Interstate 70 closed near Dotsero as crews work to clean up a truck accident.

Authorities say about 60 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from the tank of a semi-tractor trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of scrap aluminum on Friday.

Crews are working to clean up fuel and untangle the aluminum from the semi so the accident can be cleared.

Transportation officials say the closure has caused significant backups and delays. Motorists are being rerouted to through Steamboat Springs and Craig.
