Olathe beats Florence to advance to state finals

Olathe, Colo (KKCO)-The No. 4 ranked Olathe Pirates beat the No. 1 ranked Florence Huskies 24-20 to advance to the 2A state finals.
The win today takes their unbeaten streak to 10.

The Pirates lost to the Huskies back in week two, 35 to 21. Until Saturday, the Huskies had won 21 of their last 22 games stretching back into last season. The Pirates got a scare in the second quarter when Keifer Wollert looked like he sustained a serious left knee injury, but the Senior QB returned for the entire second half.

The Pirates will take on the Brush Beetdiggers next Saturday in the finals. The Beetdiggers last won a state title back in 1994. For highlights of this game, click on the video link above.
