GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - (KKCO) The 5A volleyball playoff brackets have been released. The Grand Junction Central Warriors (18-1) will host the District 6 tournament, which will also feature the Fruita Monument Wildcats (8-10).
The six-team tournament is split up into two pools of three teams each. After the three teams play each other, the top team from each pool will play the second place team in the opposite pool. The winners of those games will advance to Regionals.
In 4A play, the Montrose Indians (15-4) are the top seed of District 8, which will also feature the Palisade Bulldogs (14-5). That District will be played at Montrose High School on Saturday.
In 3A, the Olathe Pirates will play in District 6 at Roaring Fork (12-8). The Hotchkiss Bulldogs (12-6) will host the District 8 tournament.
