GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Olathe Pirates began their first winning streak of the 2011 season with a 31-7 win over Cedaredge.
Olathe (3-2, 2-0) got the scoring started five minutes into the first quarter. Willy Corey charged 12 yards and dove in for the first score to make it 7-0. The Pirates added a field goal to make it 10-0 before Carter Wasser scored the first touchdown for Cedaredge (2-3, 1-1).
The Pirates responded right away in the second quarter when Cole Grett had a 46 yard run to set up a Ben Kaylor two-yard rushing touchdown.
Next up, Brandon Milholland and the Bruins will host Coal Ridge Oct. 7 while Olathe will travel to Roaring Fork.
