GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- A low scoring 2nd half for the 5th-seeded Pirates didn't stop them from moving onto the Great 8 of the 3A Girls State Playoffs on Saturday.
In fact, it was the Lady Pirates impressive first-half offense and their signature defense that kept Olathe in the hunt for the State Championship.
Olathe's Kylie Tait led all scorers with 15 en route to the 32-22 victory over the Berthoud Spartans in the Regional Finals at Olathe.
Next up the Pirates will travel to Colorado State University to tip-off against 4th-seeded Trinidad High School.
