#4 Bulldogs Pick Up Win On Homecoming Night

GRAND JUNCTION - The Palisade Bulldogs turned two first quarter turnovers into an early 14-0 lead and never looked back in their Homecoming game with a 20-7 win over the Rifle Bears.

On the opening drive of the game Rifle quarterback Hazen Moss fumbled the exchange with his running back. Jesse Kirstatter jumped on the ball for the Palisade take-away.

After two long runs, one by Zach Adair and one by Aaron Wagler, the Bulldogs took the 7-0 lead on a two yard TD run by Wagler.

Rifle's second drive of the game ended in a fumble recovery by Billy Logsdon. That turnover led to another Wagler touchdown run.

In the second half, Adair scored on a ten yard touchdown on Palisade's second drive of the half to put the game away for good 20-7.

The Bulldogs (6-2) will play next at Battle Mountain on Friday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m.
