Palisade Basketball Takes A Pair From Paonia

PALISADE, Colo. - The Palisade boys jumped out to a 19-7 first quarter lead and held off the Paonia Eagles for a 57-47 win on Friday night.

The Palisade girls got a three pointer from Mehgan Peters in the final minute of overtime and Megan Miller gave the Lady Bulldogs the win with a layup with 6.5 seconds left in the extra period.

Bernadette Pitre led the Bulldogs with 22 points in the 56-54 win at Palisade High School.

Miller put Palisade up by one late in the fourth quarter with her first three point field goal of the night. Paonia was able to tie the score at 49-49 to force overtime.

Jordan Reinks led the Eagles with 21 points.
