GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - By air or by ground, the Palisade Bulldogs did it all to defeat the Eagle Valley Devils on Thursday night at Stocker Stadium 43-6.
After holding the Devils to a punt on the first series of the game, Bulldogs senior Jesse Brannon returned the punt 59 yards for a touchdown. The Bulldogs would convert the two-point conversion for the 8-0 lead.
Brannon also returned an interception for a touchdown in the second half of the win.
Quarterback Jordan Salazar finished 7-8 passing for 135 yards and two touchdowns to go along with his 22 yards rushing.
Sean Dunn followed up his huge performance against Battle Mountain last week with 197 total yards of offense and three total touchdowns. Dunn had 111 yards and one touchdown rushing to go with 86 yards and two touchdowns receiving.
Palisade improves to 2-2 on the season. Their next game will be on Friday, September 25 against Moffat County at Stocker Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
