GRAND JUNCTION - The Palisade Bulldogs became the first football team to open the new season with a win when they rolled past Durango on Saturday afternoon 42-14.
Running backs Zach Adair and Aaron Wagler each rushed for two touchdowns in the game.
Quarterback Jake Appling hooked up with Matt Young on a touchdown pass for the first score of the game.
