GRAND JUNCTION - The Central Warriors picked up their first win of the season last Friday night by taking down the number one ranked team in 3A football, the Palisade Bulldogs.
The Warriors lost badly in their season opener against Standley Lake 36-6. Palisade, on the other hand, won it's season opener in a big way over Durango 42-14. The roles were completely reversed when the two teams met and Central won 21-14.
