Fruita, GJ girls score home-opening wins

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The manners in which Fruita Monument and Grand Junction won on Tuesday were completely opposite. However, both styles yielded the same result: a victory.

Fruita utilized it's up-tempo and transition-based offense to score 63 on Eagle Valley in a 63-46 victory.

The Grand Junction Tigers needed a big second half to out-duel the Palisade Bulldogs 38-22.

Fruita Monument improves to 2-1, the Lady Tigers remain unbeaten at 4-0, and the Bulldogs drop to 0-1 on the season.
