HS FOOTBALL: Palisade 31, Glenwood Springs 21

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- After being shutout over the past two games, Glenwood Springs responded, giving No. 2 Palisade a scare. The Bulldogs held off a late charge by the Demons to win 31-21 at Glenwood Springs High School on Friday.

Glenwood (1-3) scored first on a touchdown run by Henry Hill. But Palisade (4-0) scored the next four touchdowns to build a 28-6 lead. Luke McLean threw a pair of touchdown passes; one to Caden Woods and the other to Lane Orman. Ronald Kuntz added a 20-yard touchdown.

McLean injured his throwing arm during the first half and did not return to QB, but he stayed in the game at linebacker. Daniel Salazar took over at QB and rushed for a touchdown as well.

The Bulldogs will play Moffat County on Saturday, October 1st. The game will be held at Palisade High School due to Homecoming.
